Cards by Donna Ann

One hobby of mine is making cards.  I love to look at cards others have shared, and to also share the ones I make.  I hope you will see these and be inspired to create cards as I do.

Please check my page for "ONESTROKE" to see the cards that I have painted using the Onestroke method of painting.

Yesterday I made this new card--a birthday card for a cat loving friend of mine. On the green cat eyes, and nose, I used a clear gloss to give them some depth.  The picture does not do it justice. Copic markers were used on the cat. Distressing ink was used around the card and image edges.

For this card, I used a Sizzix embossing folder in my CuttleBug machine.  For the White oval, I used my Nestabilities Oval.  The butterfly was stamped, then colored with Copic markers and glitter pens.  The ribbon was added for accent. The corners are cut with one of my fancy corner punches.

A quick card.  Not fantastic, but~~~

Another new one--for a friend  This is a stamped image, and colored with COPIC markers.

I  finally figured out how to fold the flower...

This was an experiment gone bad LOL!  My handwriting went uphill, and I was being so careful too I should also have chalked green instead of beige!

I sent this card to my uncle for his 89th Birthday in June 2009  It is a card made from a kit I received from Creative Keepsakes

Today I made a new Birthday card for my friend.  The flower was made with watercolor pencils and outlined with an ink pen. The dotted part is made by Bassill.  It's already embossed.

At the moment, it is quickly getting to be the "crunch to finish Christmas cards"  I have a total of 40 to make this year.  I'll need a vacation when I finish ha !

All six of these cards were made from 3 sheets of white cardstock, and three sheets of Christmas scrapbook paper with a little glitter, ribbon and trim tossed in.  There was enough Christmas paper left to make a liner insert in the envelopes for each.  My supplies went a long way on these cards.  The stockings were cut on my Cricut machine.  I used both the cut outs and the paper they were cut from. The edges were cut with decorative scissors.

The cards below were embossed with my Cuttlebug embosser/die cutter.  I got the idea of the white on white from another creator.  I decided to put mine on colored cards instead of white, and I added color with  glitter pens.  I used ribbon and Stamps and pearls for decorations.

These are Birthday Cards I made for friends this past month.
