Needed for this tutorial:
PSP-any version
Tube of your choice
Filters: Simple/Quick Tile
Andrews Filter Collection 56/Blurred Bits and Pieces
FM Tile Tools/Blend Emboss
**These filters can be downloaded in the "FILTERS" section of Members Only
Open PSP
Open your tube in PSP
Window/Duplicate (*close your original)
Resize your tube so the width is no wider than 350 pixels
Window/Duplicate again, minimize one of the tubes for later use.
Select with the eyedropper, a color from your tube to use as your background color
Using one of the tubes, Layers/Add new raster layer
Layers/Arrange/Send to bottom
Flood fill with your background color
Layers/Merge all flatten
Effects/Simple/Quick tile
Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur
Effects/Art Media Effects/Brush Strokes
Effects/Andrews Filter Collection 56/Blurred Bits and Pieces
Effects/FM Tile Tools/Blend Emboss
Repeat this step once more
In the Materials Box/select the pattern you just made
Activate (bring up) the remaining duplicate tube
Image/Canvas size 1500 X 500 (*I use 1500 or 1440 for width because many of us now have wider monitor screens which need the extra width to fill the screen. **you can use this suggestion, or 1024. The height should be about 50 pixels to 100 pixels taller than your tube image.)
Layers/New raster layer
Flood fill with your background pattern
In your Layers Pallet slide the opacity to 50%
Activate the layer the tube is on, If you desire, add a drop shadow
Effects/3D effects/Drop Shadow
Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten
Add your watermark or signature and then assemble in Letter Creator
