Needed for this tutorial:

PSP-any version

Tube of your choice

Filters:  Simple/Quick Tile

**This filter can be downloaded in the "FILTERS" section of Members Only


 Open PSP

Open tube.  Windows Duplicate and close the original.

With your eye dropper Select one dark color (background) and one light color (foreground) from your tube.

Open a new transparent image W-100 x H-240


Click on the shape button and select the diamond in the square if you do not have this shape in your files, you will find it in the filters section. PresetShapes_(144). Copy then paste it into your PSP Preset Shapes file.

Check "Anti-Alias" and "Create as Vector"

Line style __________________

Width 2.00    Meter limits 15


In your transparent image, begin in the upper left corner at 0/0 and move to the bottom right. adjust the image so no spaces show around the square lines surrounding the diamond.


Fill the diamond with the lighter color you previously selected.

 

Fill the area around the diamond with the darker color you previously selected.

Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten

Selections/Select All

Selections/Modify/Contract 2

Image/Crop to selection

Promote to background layer if needed.


Click on the Paint Brush button and select Marble 2

Put the size at 260

With the dark color selected, click over the light diamond area once or twice to get an even marbling effect.

Reverse the colors in your Materials Box and repeat the process to get the light marble pattern to show on the dark area of your image.


Open a new transparent image 1000 wide by 700 high

In your Materials box, select "Patterns" and find the new diamond image you just made.                         Use your flood fill tool and flood with the new marbled diamond design.


Effects/Plugins/Simple/Quick Tile

Adjust the opacity to 85%


Add your tube and/or text if you want to.

Add a drop shadow. I used 6/6/40/12/Black

Selections/Select none

Layers/Merge/merge flatten

Save for assembly in Letter Creator.
