Needed for this tutorial:

PSP

A tube

Simple/Quick Tile

Mehdi/Fur and Sorting Tiles

A Gradient selection from PSP that compliments your tube or graphic


*If you use a tube, with your eyedropper, pick a color from your tube,

or use a gradient, to use as a background color for your tube.


Open your tube

Windows/Duplicate three times.

Close the original and minimize one of the remaining copies.


Layers/Add new raster layer

Flood fill with this color or gradient

**I used a green gradient behind my tube image in this example.

Layers/Send to bottom

Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten


With your eyedropper tool select a color from your image for your arch.

Minimize this image for now


Now you are ready to begin:

Make a new image 1018 X 1500

With your selection tool , set to Ellipse, make a selection on your new image.

Start about 400 pixels down and 509 pixels across and pull your ellipse until the top of the selection is in an arch shape and the sides of the arch meet or extend over the side edges.

Selections/Invert


Flood fill with your arch color


Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow

Selections/Select none


Layers/Add new raster layer

Layers/Arrange/Send to bottom


Re-Activate your tube that you filled in the background.

Layers/Promote background layer if needed.

Adjust/Blur/Gaussian Blur set at 10

 


Effects/Plugins/Simple/Quick Tile


Effects/Plugins/Mehdi/Fur


Effects/Plugins/Mehdi/Sorting Tiles


Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten


Effects/Plugins/Simple/Quick Tile

* OPTIONAL:  Some will look like the picture below, but some will not.

If yours does not, than skip this step.

Layers/Promote background to layer


In your Materials Box, Select this pattern


Make sure the bottom layer of your background is active.

Flood fill  with this new pattern


In your Materials Box, the bottom layer you just filled,

reduce the opacity to where you like it.  I used 60% for this example

Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten

Layers/Promote background layer


Activate your tube image

Edit/Copy

Edit/Paste as a new layer

Add a drop shadow

Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten


**Optional:  You can also add smaller tubes on the sides of the arch, or text.


Add your Watermark.

File/Save/Export as a jpg image with the compression set at 25.

Assemble in Letter Creator
