DA-Circle Selection

Needed for this tutorial:

PSP

Filter:  Simple/Quick Tile (or PSP's Seamless tile)

Open a tube of your choice in PSP.  Layers/Duplicate twice.  Minimize one image and close the original.


With your eyedropper tool , select a light color from your tube for the background.

Layers/Add/New raster layer

Flood Fill with your background color.


Layers/Arrange/Send to bottom.

Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten.


Layers/Promote background layer.

Effects/Plugin effects/Simple/Quick Tile


Image/Resize to 50% or a size you like for your upper left corner image.

In your Materials Box, select this pattern image.


Open a New Transparent Image 1024 X 768

Flood Fill with your light background color.

**Optional at this step--texturize your background.


With your Selection tool set at "circle", begin in the upper left corner of your background image.  Draw/drag a circle down until the right upper side of the image is at 850 pixels.

While still selected, Layers/add new raster layer.

Selections/Invert and Flood Fill with your pattern design.


While still selected, Selections/Modify/Expand 20


While still selected, Layers/add new raster layer and Flood Fill the same selected corner area with a color or gradient.


While still selected, Layers/Arrange/Move down.


Effects/3-D effects/Drop Shadow.  Make the Horizontal and Vertical numbers "minus"

Selections/Select none


Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten.

Layers/Promote background layer.


Reactivate your tube image.  Image/resize to a desired size to fit in the upper left corner.

Edit/Copy,  Edit/Paste as a new layer on to your background image.

With your Mover tool   move the tube to the upper corner or where you wish it to be on your background.

Reduce the opacity to about 30%


Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten.

Layers/Promote to background.


Reactivate your tube once more and resize it to about 75% of the original

Image/Copy,  Image/Paste as a new layer.

With your mover tool move this image to the lower right corner, leaving a little of the image overlapping the curved area.

Apply a drop shadow

Layers/Merge/merge all flatten.

Apply your watermark and save as a jpg. for assembly in Letter Creator.
