Needed for this tutorial:

PSP

Tube image of your choice

Filters: http://www.chezkiki.com/les_filtres.htm

 1.  DBS Flux/Linear Transmission

2.  FM Tile Tools/Blend Emboss

3.  Simple/Quick Tile


Open your tubed image in PSP

Windows/Duplicate -- close your original

In your Materials box, select a gradient that compliments your tubed image


Make a new transparent image, 200 x 200

Flood Fill the "new" image with your gradient 


Effects/Plugins/DBS Flux/Linear Transmission.  Use the following settings.

 

Repeat, but change the Direction to Horizontal as shown below.

 


Effects/Plugins/FM Tile Tools/Blend Emboss

 


Effects/Plugins/Simple/Quick tile

This next step is optional.  If you wish, you can resize your embossed background image.  In the example above, I reduced the image 50%


Re-activate your tubed image.

Layers/Add new raster layer

Layers/arrange/move to bottom


In your Materials box, select the Pattern of the background image


Flood Fill your new layer with this pattern.

Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten


Layers/Promote background layer

Image/Canvas Size


With your Magic Wand , select the unfilled area, and flood fill with a color and texture of your choice.

Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten

Add your watermark if you use one, and save the completed image as a JPG. to be assembled in Letter Creator.
