Needed:

PSP 7 or 8

Tube of your choice

Open your chosen tube

With your eyedropper tool  pick both a light color, then a darker color from your tube.

Make a new transparent image 200 X 200.

Flood fill  this new image with your lighter color

Layers/New Raster layer.

With your selections tool , set the selection type to circle.

Make a new circle selection in the center of your image.

I made my circle from pixels 95 and spread to 105 pixels.

*you can click on View/Grid to make this easier to find.

While the circle is still selected, flood fill  with your darker color.

Selections/Select none.

With your mover tool , center your dot at 100/100 in the center of your square image.

Layer/New Raster layer.

With your selections tool , re-set back to Rectangle/mode set to replace mode.

Make a new selection on the new layer.

I used a vertical selection at 20 to 30 pixils or a size you like.

This will be your stripe on the left side of the image. *Again, you can use your grid is you prefer.

While the stripe is selected, flood fill  with your darker color.

Selections/select none.

Layer/Duplicate

Image/Mirror

Image/Resize (resize to a smaller size) I normally use between 25% and 50% reduction in size.

In your Materials Box find your new pattern.

Make another new image, 1024 X the height of your tube.

Flood fill  your new image with your new pattern.

Activate your chosen tube.

Edit/Copy.

Edit/Paste as a new selection and move to the far left of your background image.

Effects/3-D Effects/Drop Shadow

*The drop shadow is optional, but I think it gives your image a nice effect.

Selections/Select none.

Add a new layer and add your Watermark if desired.  If you do not use a watermark, skip this step.

Layers/Merge/Merge flatten.

Save your new image as a jpg. for assembly in Letter Creator.
