Supplies needed for this tutorial:
 
Tube of your choice for side picture.

 
 
Make a new image 62/62 inches
Add a new Raster Layer.  Using your selections tool  set to circle and make a small dot in the center/flood fill with white
*do not merge layers.  Save as a psp image.
 
PSP 7 or PSP 8
(This was written in PSP8)

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

 Open your tube
 Open the "blank small dot" tube or the one you made from the above instructions.

With the Eyedropper tool, pick a color from your tube or graphic. for your

background color, and also pick a color for your dots.


Activate the Blank Sm. Dot tube. 

On the top "empty" layer, flood fill  with your chosen background color.


Layers/Arrange/Send to bottom


In your Layers Pallet, Highlight the dot layer. 

Using your magic wand , select the area around the dot.


Selections/Select/ Invert, and flood fill the dot with your chosen "dot" color. 

 


Selections/Select none.

Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten.

Effects/Plugins/Simple/Quick Tile


With your eye dropper click on your new tile and select your "Pattern Option" 

When the window opens, select your new dotted tile pattern.


Make a new image  1024 X the height of your tube.

Flood Fill  with your selected dot pattern.

Make your blank Small Dot tile active again (here you have the option to use the

same dot color or change it the way you did before).


Image/Resize/ 50%


With your eyedropper  click and add to the pattern option in your Materials box,

 as you did before. 

Select this new smaller dot pattern and flood fill  this new

pattern on top of your 1024 wide background.


Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten.


Activate your tube

 Copy and Paste it as a new selection on to the left side of your 1024 background image.

 *Add a drop shadow if desired


Add your watermark

Selections/Select all
 Selections/Modify/Contract 2
 Image/Crop to selection
Save and assemble in Letter Creator.
