Needed for this Tutorial

PSP
Graphic or Tube
*This is an easy tutorial that can be done without any outside filters but I prefer the look of the Simple/Quick Tile filter.

Instructions

Open your tube or graphic in PSP.

Layers/Duplicate twice.

Close the original.  Minimize one image.

With your eyedropper tool  pick a light color from your graphic.

For the next step, you can use a ready made design,

one from your materials pattern box, or make your own.

With one graphic image open, Effects/Simple/Quick Tile

Image/Resize this to a smaller size.  I used about 25% reduction.

Now you are ready to begin.

Make a new transparent image 1018 X 630

(or a prefered size.  This size fits my 1024 x 768 resolution well).

Find your new pattern in your materials box.

Flood fill your new image with your new pattern.

Layers/New Raster layer

Flood Fill with your light color you picked from your graphic earlier.

Effects/Image Effects/Page Curl with the following settings.

You can pick any color for the curl, but I like to chose one that will compliment my image and background.

Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten

Layers/Promote background layer

Open your tube or graphic.

If you use a graphic, you will need to do the following:

Selections/Select all
Selections/Modify/Contract

Layers/Modify/Feather

Edit/Copy
Edit/Paste as a new layer on to your layered image.

In your Materials Box to the right, reduce the opacity to about 24%

or whatever is eye pleasing to you.
