DA-Stripes
Open a new image in PSP. Make the size 100 X 200 (200 being the height) In your new transparent image, you will see the usual checks. This is what we will use as a guide. With your selection tool
beginning at the top left corner of one of the checks. Drag your selection down to the bottom so just one column of checks is selected. Flood fill
Selections/Select none. Select the column you flood filled, as well as the column next to it. Select these two columns, then Image/Crop to selection (It does not matter on which side of your filled column)
Using your Magic wand
Flood fill
** Note, for textured stripes, during this step, using
your magic wand
select the colors individually and add texture or noise. Selections/Select none
In your Materials box, find and select your new striped pattern.
Your new pattern is now ready to flood fill as a background in any new project.
Now, as something different, you can resize this striped image 50% or more and have a narrower stripe.
You can also make it larger by increasing the size. When you are ready to use it, just select this new pattern in your Materials box. DA-EASY DOTS
Needed: PSP Filter: VM Natural/Legoland http://www.fleursauvage.be/utilitaire/filtres/filtres.htm
Make a new image 200 X 200 Flood fill
Effects/Plugin effects/VM Natural/Legoland, using the default settings
In your Materials box, find and select your new pattern. It is now ready to use to flood fill the background in your project.
* You can also do as you did for the stripes to make the pattern larger of smaller. **Another variation I have discovered, is if you take your finished dotted image
I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial. Now, go have fun. Playing with filters is easy and the results are always wonderful. (well most of the time LOL)
