RAIN STIX BACKGROUND TUTORIAL by ©Donna Ann 2004 *Do not copy and/or past this version of this tutorial on to any website or send through any MSN or Yahoo groups.   A link to this site is greatly appreciated.  http://www.davose.com Thank you     Needed:  PSP8   Filters:    Simple/Diamonds                MuRa's Seamless/Shift at Slant You can find these filters here:  http://www.fleursauvage.be/utilitaire/filtres/filtres.htm   NOTE:  Softer colors make the effect much easier to view than bold colors.  Instructions:   In PSP8, open a chosen tube.  Duplicate, then resize the tube to be no wider than 300 or a height of 300 (or a preferred size).  Close the original tube. With your eyedropper tool  pick a light and then a dark color from your tube image.  In the Materials Box, choose the Gradient Selection so that the two colors you have chosen become a new gradient. Open  a new transparent image 300 X 300.   Flood fill  with your new Gradient. Effects/Plugins/Simple/Diamonds Effects/Plugins/MuRas Seamless/Shift at Slant with the following settings: In the Materials Box, select this new pattern. Make a new transparent image 1024 X the height of your tubed image. Flood Fill   with your new pattern. Reactivate your tubed image.   Edit/Copy  Edit/Paste as a new selection on to your patterned 1024 wide background.  Move the the left side.
