Needed for this Tutorial:
 
PSP
 
Simple Filters/Quick Tile and Diamonds
You can find these filters here:
 
Xero/Art Grain
You can find this here:  (It is in Set 2)
 
A Graphic of your choice
 

 
In PSP, open your Graphic. 
Windows/Duplicate
Close your original.

Using your open Graphic,
Image/Resize (you don't want the width of your graphic to be more than 330 pixels because you will be adding 20 pixels in your border.
 
With your eyedropper tool  pick a light and a darker color from your graphic.
Click on "Add to Swatches" with each color for later use.
 
Image/Add Borders (all set at 20 pixels-Symmetric CHECKED)
using your dark color, add your border.
 
With your magic wand  select your new border.
 
Effects/Plugin effects/Xero/Art Grain

Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow
 
While still selected
 
Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow making the changes as below
 
Selections/Select none

Image/Image Information--Note the height of your framed graphic.

Image/Canvas Size
Change your width to 1024 or desired width.
Change your height to the height of your framed border.
 
In the Placement box, click on the center left arrow. 
This will place your framed graphic to the far left of the new image.
 
 
 

 
(NOTE)  The color will be clear or white.  I added color to this area so you could see the size after doing Canvas Size.
Layers/Merge/Merge all flatten.
 

Select and open your  Materials Box, re-select from "Swatches" your two chosen colors.
Select the Gradient button and find your new Gradient. It will be listed as "Foreground/Background"
 
With your magic wand  select the new area.  Flood fill  with your new gradient.

While still selected--
Effects/Textured Effects/Blinds
I used my darker color as the highlight color.
Settings as shown below.
You will not see much change, but that's the way it should be.

While still selected,
Effects/Plugins/Simple/Diamonds

While still selected, repeat this action.
Effects/Plugins/Simple/Diamonds

Again, while still selected

Effects/Plugins/Simple/Diamonds

Again, while still selected

Effects/Plugins/Simple/Diamonds

Repeat this again


 

Repeat this step until the pattern is almost gone.
This one took 10 Diamond repeats, but some of my other letters took only 3 or 4.
 
Effects/Simple/Quick tile
Selections/Select none.
 
Add your Watermark
Assemble in Letter Creator
