Tools needed:

PSP8

Tube of your choice

Simple Plug in Filters: Here


Open a tube you like in PSP8

Open a new image 1024 wide X the height of your tube / transparent


Use the eye dropper tool   and pick out two colors for

 your foreground and background colors.  

 I used a light color for the foreground and a darker color for the background.

Note:  These chosen colors will be written on, so

Choose colors in which text will easily be seen.


Flood fill  your transparent image with the lighter Foreground color.


Effects/Texture Effects/Weave-----right click on

the weave color box and select your Foreground color that you have

chosen from the recent selected colors that now show in the selections.


Then right click on the Gap Color box and select the

Background color that you have chosen.

 

Setting should be: Gap 15/ Width 38/

 Opacity 100/ Fill Gaps CHECKED

Make your lighter color the Weave color

and make the Gap color the darker color.


Effects/Plugins/Simple/Blintz - Use default settings


Effects/Plugins/Simple/Centre Tile – Use the default settings


Effects/Plugins/Simple/Pizza Slice Mirror – Use the default settings

 

Click on your tube—Edit/Copy


Make your Weave Header active

Edit/Paste as a new layer


Use your Mover tool   to move your tube over to the far left side of your Header.


Once in place, click on Effects/Drop Shadow with these settings:

Vertical   0  Horizontal  6

Opacity   75  Blur  6, and color Black.

 Shadow  on new layer UNCHECKED


Layers/Merge/all Flatten


Select All/Modify/Contract 2


Image/Crop to Selection


Layers add a new Raster Layer

Apply your watermark


Layers/Merge/all Flatten


File/Export JPG Optimizer, Compression 25

click OK

Save as a jpg.  for assembly in Letter Creator.
